Inspiring Film Photography
This portfolio covers selection of a single theme photographs in different categories such as #portrait, #nude. All these photographs are linked by the fact that they were taken using a medium format film camera. One of the main appeals of 120 film is, in fact, the limitation of only having a few shots depending on the format #645, #67 or #6×6.
The film medium, which, as an old form of communication, conveys emotions in a more neutral and raw form. It is also a significant advantage to the photographer. The limitations of a small number of shots force to slow down and to document what is really necessary for the project.
The following medium format cameras were used:
Mamiya 645 PRO medium-frame camera with portrait lenses (Sekor 80mm/1.9, Schneider Cinelux ISCO Ultra MC 115mm/2.0)
Pentacon Six TL (Biometar 80mm/2.8)
Pentax 67 Ashai (Takumar 105mm/2.4)
Hasselblad 2000 FCW (Carl Zeiss Planar 80mm/2.8)
