La Pantera Negra

She resides in darkness,
But cannot be seen in the shadows,
She waits quietly choosing her prey,
But nothing cannot outwit her cleverness,
She confides within the gallows,
But will her hunger be satisfied in this way,
She sneaks upon her silent opponent with carefulness,
But she leaves no survivors,
She proclaims her triumphant trophy,
But she pursues it with indefiniteness.

Shelf

All my feelings are on a shelf
until I take them out and show people
how i really feel
i keep them inside
to protect myself
from what people see me like that
but that time to take them down is now
I could care less what they think
because its my turn to stand up
and tell people how I feel

Kitchen Angel

Hey, my kitchen angel,
Eyes of ocean blue,
Dream from the depths of sleep,
True vision of sweet you.

My time is free tomorrow,
The day I clear have off.
My prying glance you may notice,
As I grab from our staff trough.

Your break I want
Your time I need!
Spare no extra minutes,
To these twats you must feed!

Now, i’d love to see you beforehand,
For me, it would bring total bliss.
Pics of your night with a diva,
Long for, I do, from the girl I’ll miss.

Glamour Shots

A capable writer can sum up your life’s dreams in a few words or less
A good photographer can capture your essence in a snap of their shutter
And both could still be lying to you if they say they love you more than me
Me the one you never conceive of asking unless you need reinforcing…..

Lady On A Balcony

Suddenly she steps, wrapped into the wind,
brightly into brightness, as if singled out,
while now the room as though cut to fit
behind her fills the door

darkly like the ground of cameo,
that lets a glimmer through at the edges;
and you think the evening wasn’t there
before she stepped out, and on the railing

set forth just a little of herself,
just her hands, –to be completely light:
as if passed on by the rows of houses
to the heavens, to be swayed by everything.

Komodo Dragons

“Komodo dragons, or Komodo monitors, are the largest, heaviest lizards in the world — and one of the few with a venomous bite. These stealthy, powerful hunters rely on their sense of smell to detect food, using their long, forked tongues to sample the air. They can spend hours waiting for a sizable meal to wander within range before launching a deadly attack with their large, curved and serrated teeth.” [LINK]

“The Komodo dragon is the largest living lizard in the world. These wild dragons typically weigh about 154 pounds (70 kilograms), but the largest verified specimen reached a length of 10.3 feet (3.13 meters) and weighed 366 pounds (166 kilograms). Males tend to grow larger and bulkier than females.” [LINK]
